Confidentiality Agreement

Student educational records are intended for academic purposes only and are protected under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (also referred to as FERPA or the Buckley Amendment), and the NC State University Privacy Statement.

All Employees must complete a Confidentiality agreement not only to ensure that you adhere to FERPA policy, but also to ensure that academic integrity is upheld.

For more information, view REG 11.00.01 – Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA) found on NC State University’s Rules, Policies, and Regulations website. Employees should review FERPA in its entirety, but be especially familiar with sections four and five that pertain to directory information and privacy of records.
