RegisterBlast

RegisterBlast is the software used to house exam information so students can schedule an appointment for their exams. In this section, you will learn how to set RegisterBlast up at the start of the semester, add a new location, add a course, add an extension, and processing daily uploads.

Add a New Location

• To add a new location, an administrator must contact RegisterBlast.

Add a New Schedule

• Exams > Schedules > “+”
• Name (semester)
• Hours of Operation Schedule

• Dates Exams > Schedules > (Select Schedule) > > Dates

Edit Individual Dates

• For special events or closings; Exam > Schedules > Hover over next to the date > Edit.

How to add a Course to RegisterBlast

Bulk Uploads at the start of the semester

At the start of the semester, bulk uploads are performed to expedite the transfer of exam information in the proctor tool to RegisterBlast.

• Proctor Tool > Exams Tab
• Select date range (Proctor tool URL)
• Download Excel CSV for RegisterBlast
  • Add schedule column (Semester Schedule from RB, ex: Fall 2019)
  • Update location column (Leave blank until final exam locations are updated)
  • Remove “Exam Modified” columns (used to sort to find newer classes)
  • Save as a CSV file
• Open RegisterBlast > Exams > Exam Import
• Browse to add CSV file
• Import Exams

New feature: if the exam already exists in RB, it should not be duplicated. A notice will appear at the top of the page with information on duplicates.
